So Beautyworld Middle East is a trade show all to do with beauty that's held here in Dubai at the Trade Centre.

Its a three day event and this year it ran from the 27th to 29th May 2014.

I decided to do a little vlog and share with you some of the products that I discovered as I walked through the halls..... lets say there's plenty of SPARKLES......

1. Monarchy - Living Without You

A great release on Ultra Music. This track makes me think Scissor Sister & 80's Electro... See what you think! 

2. Paul Heaton, Jacqui Abbott - D.I.Y

I've loved The Beautiful South since I was 15 years old. Their tracks were some of the first songs 
that I learnt to sing. I'm totally loving this new track from them.
It's just really catchy and well written, totally like the old stuff in the nineties. 

3.Avril Lavigne - Hello Kitty

Avril's just really great at churning out rock / pop tunes. This reminds me of Trouble - Shampoo from the nineties.

4. Bombay Bicycle Club - Feel

I've followed this band for years now and this new track is just another great offering. It rolls along beautifully.

5.Bright Morning Star - Cara Dillon

This tracks taken from the new album by Cara Dillon called "A Thousand Hearts". 

This lady has been in the music industry for many a year and knows how to write a good folk song.

This and That Thursday Lava Shell Massage

So earlier this week I had a real pamper. I was invited along to Tips & Toes to try out their brand new treatment called "The Lava Shell Massage".


I wasn't sure what a lava shell massage was, but me being me said yes and popped along to the salon to try it out.

I've been to Tip & Toes quite a few times before as they have branches all over Dubai, however, whenever I've actually been in before it was always just for a nail polish change or a pedicure not a treatment.

On arrival to the salon I was greeted with a smile by the lady who was doing my treatment and then I was taken to a treatment room just at the side of the main nail polish section. 
At first I was wondering just how relaxing this would actually be because the treatment room was right near where ladies were chatting  and getting there nails done so I expected lots of noise, however once inside the treatment room I couldn't hear any of that.

So on to the Lava Shell Massage itself..... What actually is it?

From what I understand there are two shells used during this massage, these are filled with the special lava which heats up (So therefore giving you a similar massage experience to Hot Stone). The masseuse uses these warm shells to do the main massage, but before using the warm shells she first applies oil and gently warms up the muscles on your back and shoulders by hand... then she starts to slowly massage with the warm lava shells after this. 
Once the massage was done I was left in a dreamy relaxed state, which was great. However when I book this again I think I'll make sure I get this at the end of the day because it seems like the perfect chill out massage to help you sleep.

If you're looking to chill out for a while and perhaps have a pamper on the weekend this treatment is definitely the one for you......

It's a full body massage treatment and lasts for 75 minutes and I personally think the price is perfect at just 320dhs

Some new tunes that are worth a listen this week.... 

1. The Black Keys - Fever

Its great to have a new album from these guys, the albums titled "True Blue" and this is a superb track taken from it.

2. Sanna Nielsen - Undo

This was Sweden's entry into the Eurovision Song Contest. The first time I heard this I fell in love with it. Its absolutely beautiful, the videos fab and Sanna's vocals are crystal clear.

3. Syron feat Horror Stories - Three Dreams

To me this has a real kinda nineties vibe to it. I love how the track is just an easy listen 

and the vocal just nicely flows. AWESOME STUFF! 

4. Kylie Minogue - I Was Gonna Cancel

Pure pop perfectly executed by Kylie. I've never not liked a Kylie track, I love her voice and she just does pop so well...

Its worth while checking out the remixes of this track as there's some cracking ones...

5. La Roux - Let Me Down Gently

Bulletproof was a massive hit a few years ago. This track has a totally different pace but it still has 

great electro vibes and edgy vocals.

Weightloss Wednesday. How I lost weight....

As you know I've been doing the a thing called #VLOGFIT which I created back in Jan 2014. For 4 months I've really taken the time to look after my body and learn how to keep fit and healthy. Here's some of my music picks for this week.... 

1. Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars

Ok so now I'm really looking forward to the new album "Ghost Stories" which comes out on 19th May 2014. This is the second single to be taken from it and its a beautiful collaboration between Coldplay & Avicci which explains the slight dancing feel to the track. Nice work guys! 

2. Shakira - Dare (La La La)

How massive is this tune. Maybe this will take over now from Waka, Waka? Its' definitely a dance-floor filler. The songs got a catchy hook which means after a couple of plays I guarantee you will be singing the La, La, La, La bit......

3.Michael Jackson - Love Never Felt So Good

This track is an incredible piece of work. As to be expected of course from the gentleman who was the King Of Pop. When I first heard a clip of this last week I got shivers down my spine. I can't wait for the album.

4. Paloma Faith - Only Love Can Hurt Like This 

I adore this ladies voice and I've followed her for years now. The track kinda reminds me of something that Duffy would have released a few years ago. Never the less it has a great vocal and the track is full to the brim with emotion. LOVE IT! 

5. Fiona Bevan - Rebel Without A Cause

This track is really catchy and flows beautifully. The vocal and the music combine to make an easy listen. I'll be definitely be investing in her album "Talk To Strangers".
