Now that you're 2...

Saturday 7th January 2016 was a very special day for our little family. It was the day that our Little Boy turned 2.

I don't know who was more excited. Lewis or Me!

On the night before his Birthday, I covered the front room floor with balloons and popped up a Birthday Boy Banner on the wall. Everything was ready for an early rise in the Morning and hopefully an excited little boy.

The Morning went to plan and was awesome. L woke up at 5.30am and we all went downstairs together and he opened the front room door. L's little face was a picture it totally lit up. He jumped around smiling and giggling and was totally overwhelmed by all the sparkly fun.

Later we decided to brave soft play. L was so blooming excited when we got there he was pretty much dancing on the spot and he couldn't wait to get into the middle of it all.

He went upstairs, down slides, bounced on trampolines and rocked on soft play rocking horses. When it came to nap time he totally just crashed out and I could hear him snoozing.

The afternoon was all about playing in his new play tent, eating cake and playing cars.

I think it's fair to say that the day was a success and the little un enjoyed every moment.

Someone said to me when L was born that time moves fast and to enjoy every day. This is so true as I sit here and type this I can't believe that he's already 2.

A mum at one of the playgroups that we go to came up to me the other day and said something so nice which has stuck with me and made me smile lots. She has a little boy who's only 7 months old. She said "I really hope my Little Boy is as confident and happy as your little one when he's that age as I think it's just great". Yeah, that made me smile lots...
