Gwen Stefani for OPI NAILS

Hi there lovelies,

Today I wanna share with you my cool and funky nail art that I created by using the original range of nail polishes that O.P.I Nails brought out alongside Gwen Stefani (Gwen for OPI) earlier this year.

First though check out this rather cool behind the scenes video...

I've been a fan of Gwen Stefani since her No Doubt days and I've loved nails and nail art for years and years and years.
Earlier in the year when I first heard about this collaboration it really excited me as I was looking forward to see what OPI and Gwen came up with...

Finally I've managed to get my hands on some of the Gwen for OPI nail polishes and I decided to come up with a quick fun look, similar to the one Gwen wore in the photos for this range...

STEP 1.
Apply "Hey Baby" (pink colour) on every nail covering the whole nail. Do two coats to make it nice and even. Leave then to dry for a little while

STEP 2.
Apply "In The Morning" (black colour) to half of every nail, apply two coats so that you get a nice crisp line... This takes a steady hand!

STEP 3.
Apply a top coat of "In True Stefani Fashion" (silver glitter) to every nail. Try not to apply to much so that the pink and black can still be seen underneath...

Let it dry and then you're done and ready to Rock n Roll.

Something I'm really excited to see more of its OPI and Gwen Stefani's Holiday Collection.
Last year OPI teamed up with Mariah Carey and came out with the most beautiful colours and from what I can see online it looks like Gwen Stefani' Holiday Collection won't be dissapointing anyone. I've already fallen in love with "I'll tinsel you in" and "Snowglobe Trotter"  + "So Elegant". Check out the website to find out more: O.P.I

By the way... have you heard Gwen Stefani's new tune "Baby Don't Lie"...

An Interview with Alex Box from Illamasqua

Hi there lovelies,

(Clare Elise & Alex Box taken on Nokia 1020)

If you watch my weekly pregnancy vlogs you will have already seen that I managed to have a chat with the lovely Alex Box last week when she visited Dubai.
This for me was a dream come true...

It must have been maybe 2009 / 2010 when I first stumbled across Illamasqua and fell in love with the brand. I remember it was a weekend and my mum and I decided to drive to the Trafford Centre in Manchester and have a little shop as I wasn't gigging. It was there that I found Illamasqua and as they say the rest is history.

Because of my total love for beauty and after working in beauty for years, I soon found out about Alex Box and have been a fan of her work ever since. I think it's fair to say she really is an outstanding make-up artist and now that I've met her I can also say she really is a very lovely person!

Anyway enough writing. You want to see the interview right?

Click on the video below to watch and find out all about the brand new Illamasqua range for Christmas, "Facets" and why did Alex Box dyed her hair that colour...

New Music I'm liking right now...

Hi there lovelies,

As you know I'm a HUGE fan of music and I've always tried to support local talent / up and coming talent on the radio whenever I can.  I've been doing a post on the "Sparkly Blog" called Tuesday Tunes for a while now as a way of sharing with you new music finds. However as you've may have noticed I've not done a Tuesday Tunes post for a while....
I've decided to do a Tuesday Tunes once a month now sharing a few of my new music finds...
Let me know though if you'd like me to do more....

1. Problem - Pentatonix (Ariana Grande Cover)

I know this is a cover version, but this was to good not to share... What do you think to it?

2. Waze & Odyssey vs R. Kelly - Bump & Grind 2014

This samples two well know nineties tunes. I don't normally enjoy remixes or reworked tracks... however this one is done so well! Also the videos a good laugh!  I guarantee after one listen you'll be hooked and be playing it on repeat.

3. Red Sky - 'LosingYou'

This whole group is made up very talented songwriters, musicians and singers.  Find out all about them on their website RED SKY JULY . I've featured them before as a favorite and I've decided to feature them again because each album just keeps getting better and better.

4. Sheppard - Geronimo

Really impressed with Sheppard and this tune. They kinda remind me of Alphabeat with their quirkiness, and Scouting For Girls with their pop sound.
This song is super catchy and I'm sure that they're gonna go far if they keep churning out awesome pop tunes like this.

5. Goodbye - Martin Eriksson ft: Clare Elise

Our tracks been out for ten weeks now and is doing great. PLEASE keep downloading as with your help maybe we could make it into the Beatport or Itunes chart. However check this out... after 10 weeks out there Goodbye by Martin Eriksson ft: Clare Elise is now back at number 2 in the Deejayworx Charts!!!!!

Review: The Body Shop's RED MUSK

Hi there lovelies,

Welcome along to October!

Last week I went along to the exclusive launch of The Body Shop's brand new perfume "Red Musk" here in Dubai.

The evening's launch was held in SASS cafe. SASS cafe is all about red, black glitz and glamour and to be honest with you being surrounded by my favourite colour's took me to my happy place as soon as I stepped through the door.
You can see a little bit about the launch in last weeks "Pregnancy Vlog".

During the evening I had the chance to speak to the very lovely Corinne Cachen. Corinne Cachen is the "nose behind the scent" and the creator of The Body Shop's Red Musk.
(Corinne Cachen & Clare Elise at The Body Shop Red Musk launch here in Dubai)

Have a little watch of this weeks YouTube video by clicking below and you'll get to see what Corinne Cachen had to say about her new creation Red Musk and I'll tell you what I think to the brand new twist on the Body Shop favourite "White Musk".
